Odenses Gamle Banegård

Architect Heinrich Wenck designed Odense's second railway station building in neo-baroque style, reportedly drawing inspiration from the facade of Odense Castle, and it was inaugurated in 1914 roughly 200 metres east of the original station. It served as the city's transport hub — trains, buses, coaches and taxis all converging here, often to chaotic effect — until growing demand pushed the city toward a larger, more modern replacement in the mid-1990s. The Wenck building still stands today, now used for railway offices.
