Consecrated in 1977 to a design by architects Per Amund Riseng and Jan Stensrud, Bekkefaret Church breaks from the traditional long-church plan: its red-brick exterior is roughly square, but the worship space inside is circular, seating around 550 people arranged nearly in the round. A large 1980 tapestry by Else Marie Jakobsen, depicting Christmas, Easter and All Saints' Sunday across 450 by 400 centimetres, serves as the altar piece.
