1923

Built in 1923 as the terminus depot for the new Elgeseter tram line, Dalsenget earns its place in Trondheim's history for tragic reasons: a fire that broke out at 4:15am on 10 October 1956 destroyed almost the entire modern tram fleet — 26 trams and 16 trailers — and killed three cleaners working inside. The tram line itself closed in 1983, and the depot building was later converted into office space, now owned by KLP Eiendom.
