Architect Roar Tønseth, who would go on to design numerous Norwegian churches and tourist cabins from his own Trondheim practice, designed this long church of rendered and whitewashed brick for the city's deaf community. Built in 1926–27 and consecrated that November, its 120-seat interior includes a crucifix by Oscar Lynum and frescoes painted directly onto concrete by Ole Teien and Oskar Hokstad.
