NTNU. Hovedbygningen

Architect Bredo Greve designed the Main Building as one of four original structures for the Norwegian Technical University (NTH), working in the National Romantic style then current in Norway. Its roughly 105-metre north wing opened with the university itself in 1910, though the last of Greve's three planned wings wasn't finished until 1915. Long the literal and symbolic centre of the Gløshaugen campus, the building is now being reworked with new south-facing extensions to bring students back into a structure that had grown quieter as university functions spread elsewhere.
