Built between 1967 and 1971 for the housing association Arbejdernes Andels Boligforening, to drawings from the Salling-Mortensen architectural practice, Højhuset Langenæs was Denmark's tallest brick building on completion — and remains one of only two brick high-rises in the country. At 55 metres with 90 rental apartments across its upper 15 floors, it ranked as Aarhus's 7th-tallest building and Denmark's 30th-tallest as of 2017.
