Henning Larsen — who would later design the Copenhagen Opera House and buildings across the world — completed this 50-seat chapel and crematorium at Vestre Kirkegård in 1969, entered through a bronze door set into a bronze wall. Built in white concrete with unbroken, straight-edged facades and lit entirely by skylights, the chapel and its crematorium form a single integrated design, now generally referred to together as the chapel crematorium. It's considered one of Larsen's most significant early works.
