Named for Nikolai Sittkoff, the shipowner and merchant who moved his trading operation from Godby to the newly founded Mariehamn in 1865, this shopping gallery occupies one of the town's most central sites. A statue of Sittkoff stands at its main entrance — a reminder that the building's name commemorates one of the handful of merchants whose commercial ambitions shaped Mariehamn's layout in its earliest years.
